Sammael
“Venom of God” Destroyer and Deliverer of Death. An angel of Heaven, the will of God to be Death. Sammael is just a wee babe here, not yet the Glory of Death, but soon to be a destroyer. I absolutely love this piece. I love the lore of angles and demos of many faiths. Sammael is one I fancy as even God’s angels are not all those of the usual heavenly nature we assume. Death, the will of God for Man, and Sammael with take you sooner or later. I found that after drawing this, it reminded me of the monster in the movie Hellboy, named Sammael. So, I wanted to keep an aquatic feel to it. The young Sammael will grow up to be a formidable power of your fears. For now, an adorable morbid monster.
