Morel and Sad Daisy

I got to taste some morels once, and I loved them. I don't usually like mushrooms, but these were quite tasty. So I really wanted to burn a morel and this is the outcome.
Before spring there is always the morel hunt in our town. It’s a big deal too!
People have secret places where they hunt and don’t just share it with anyone. Crazy to me.

I'm very happy with how this piece turned out. The daisy is more or less sad/unhappy that this morel has taken over the area and the sunlight.
The daisy even lifts up a leaf arm to shake a fist at the morel.
I love how you almost feel like you could pick the morel out of the paper like it were real.

Prints are on sturdy archival matte paper and acid free.
