Abalone

$20.00

My grandparents had this interesting clock in their foyer, it was made from sea shells and sort of plastered together in the form of an organic looking clock. It was pinkish in hue and kind of creepy to me. It always made me think of head cheese, like floating bits of shell in jelly. This piece makes me think back to that clock, though I’m not quite sure why, but it reminds me of the sea. Though recently a person thought it looked quite like a heart. That is now something I cannot get out of my head, it does have similarities. Valves and the shape of our hearts. This is one of my favorite pieces, I just love the form and flow and that it brings back memories of my grandparents. It’s very old world.

Prints are on sturdy archival matte paper and acid free.
